Feeling the need to escape the rain, Sara left her home state of Oregon to explore the desert, and she decided to make it her home. She attended the University of Arizona, where she received both her a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and her J.D. After graduation, Sara practiced with Squire Patton Boggs and Ballard Spahr, where she was regularly recognized by Southwest Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in commercial litigation. In 2015, she moved to Cochise County, Arizona, where she still resides. Until joining Copeland Law Offices as Of Counsel, Sara worked for the Cochise County Attorney's Office, handling civil and water law matters as well as prosecuting violent felony crimes. While with Cochise County, Sara was recognized by the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys' Advisory Council as a Rising Star Prosecutor of the Year for the State of Arizona and was also awarded a Commendation from Arizona Game and Fish for her work on recreational access for the public. Sara’s practice focuses on litigation (commercial and real estate), water law, and probate and estate planning.
She enjoys traveling, hiking (usually with Kirsten!) and gardening.
In addition to providing services to Copeland Law Offices PLLC's clients, Sara also serves as Of Counsel for TSL Law Group, PLC, advising those clients on water law matters.
